PatternFly has introduced two new fonts, Red Hat Text and Red Hat Display. These new fonts improve the performance and legibility at any type size. They are also designed to support more browsers than the current Overpass font. To learn more, check out the Red Hat typography standards.
The new font is available in the 2.18.0 release. It was added in addition to the Overpass font to give teams a flexible migration period, adopting when it’s best suited for their own timelines. Ultimately, the Overpass font will be marked deprecated and removed in a future breaking change release.
For more information on how to opt-in to the new font, check out our documentation on pattenfly.org.
